Got old or broken electronics headed for the trash? Bring them to us, free. We turn them into hands-on lessons for the next generation of fixers.
That dead laptop in the closet, the cracked tablet in the junk drawer, the old tower nobody uses anymore. We know that most folks just toss them at the dump and keep moving. Did you know that tossing them in the garbage is bad? After a few years or less they start polluting in ways the EPA gets really upset over as computers start in the landfill leaking nasty stuff into the ground. We have a solution to that!
Just bring them to Fox Box (or schedule a pick up and we’ll come get them)! It don’t matter if they’re working or broken, your old gear becomes the real machines our students learn computer and electronics repair on. From soldering to removing pieces from the boards and putting in new pieces. We ensure that nothing gets wasted, and the benefit? Smarter students with hands on experience, and you get to know you helped the environment, your community, and got back space in your closet or wherever.
How It Works

Don’t be. Every computer, phone, and drive is securely wiped before it’s used or passed along! We don’t just delete your files. We use our own program to shred the files off of your drive. No one will be able to get at your old data once it’s erased!

Here’s What We Take
Yes, bring it (working or broken):
computers, laptops, towers, phones, tablets, game consoles & controllers, computer parts (drives, memory, graphics cards, power supplies, cables), keyboards, mice, and networking gear.
Call first: printers, working flat-screen monitors, or a vehicle-load or more.
We can’t take these here, but we’ll point you to the right place: tube-style (CRT) TVs and monitors, large appliances, loose or swollen batteries, and water or smoke damaged equipment.
Why It Matters
Two good things happen when you bring us your old electronics instead of throwing them away.
1. It stays out of the Lee County landfill.
2. It helps somebody learn a real, useful skill.
3. It gets a working computer into the hands of a family that needs one.
