Come Learn With Fox Box
A Place to Learn. Not Just a Place to Get Things Fixed
Need Help With Your Phone, Computer, Internet, or Email?
Come See Us.
Not everybody grew up with computers. Not everybody has one at home. Around here, plenty of folks use their phone for everything, still have a DVD player hooked up (hell, I have a VHS somewhere), and only touch a computer once in a blue moon.
That is perfectly fine.
We offer simple, local classes for regular folks who just want to understand the tech things they own. No experience required, and no fancy equipment required. No one will ever talk down to you or over your head. If we use a word you don’t get? Stop us and ask! You don’t know what you don’t know and we’re not mind readers.
So, bring in your phone, laptop, tablet, photos, questions, passwords you forgot, weird pictures of popups you had come up, scam messages (or messages you are pretty sure are scams), printer problems, phone problems, or just come in and talk about whatever has been aggravating you.
Some of the classes are free. Donations are welcome, but never required. (Donations don’t always mean money, y’all. You bring in a bag of chips to share? That’s a donation!) So, if you want to bring chips, cookies, or soda to share, we will not complain.
Every Wednesday, the door is open for questions. Come by, sit down, and we’ll help you figure out what is going on.
No experience required. Just show up.
Sign up below or stop in and ask us what we teach.
(One on one training is available. Depending on what you want to learn is what we charge, but it won’t be much! We’re not out here trying to get rich. We’re out here trying to make an honest living and helping educate folks.)
Streaming, DVDs, TV & Home Tech Help
Still using a DVD player? Got a smart TV that is smarter than it needs to be? Want to watch Netflix, YouTube, church services, ball games, or family videos but cannot figure out which remote does what?
This class is for everyday home technology.
We’ll help folks understand how their TV, DVD player, Roku, Fire Stick, phone, Wi-Fi, and streaming apps work together. We’ll also cover how to hook things up, change inputs, connect to Wi-Fi, manage passwords, avoid surprise charges, and know what subscriptions they are actually paying for.
Bring your questions. Bring pictures of the back of your TV if you can. Bring the remote if it is driving you crazy.
We can help with:
How to use a smart TV
How to use Roku, Fire Stick, or streaming apps
How to switch between DVD, cable, antenna, and streaming
How to connect a phone to a TV
How to watch YouTube or church livestreams
How to cancel subscriptions you do not use
How to avoid paying for the same thing twice
How to understand Wi-Fi problems
How to tell which remote does what
This is a beginner-friendly class for folks who just want the TV to work without needing a teenager, a wizard, or three remotes and a prayer.
Microsoft Office & Paperwork Help
Need to make a letter, resume, flyer, budget, church bulletin, form, or simple spreadsheet?
We teach Word, Excel, and PowerPoint from beginning to end.
We use free online tools when possible, so you do not have to buy expensive software just to learn.
This class is good for work, school, small business, church, clubs, resumes, household budgets, or for anyone who needs to make paperwork look good without having to fight a computer for days at a time.
Photos, Files & Memories
Got pictures on your phone and don’t know what to do with them?
We can show you how to move photos, save them, print them, send them to family, clean them up, and keep from losing them when your phone breaks.
Bring old family photos, phone pictures, memory cards, USB drives, or whatever you have. We can help you understand where your pictures are and how to keep them safe.
We can also teach basic photo editing, like cropping, fixing color, removing little distractions, and getting a photo ready to print.
Programming & Game Development
Real world practical skills in game development.
Real programming and practical applications.
Bring your desire to learn, and your drive to create the next great game!
By the end of the course you’ll be able to program in C#, build a greybox level, and work with real models in Unity!
Free AI Class
You’ve probably heard people talking about AI. You’ve probably thought it sounds useful or like nonsense. Not to worry this class explains it in plain English.
In these classes you’re shown what AI can do, shown what it cannot do, and we’ll jump in to show y’all how people are using it, and also how to avoid getting fooled by it! (Yes, AI gives bad information sometimes and we’ll teach you how to spot that bad info!) You do not need to be a computer nerd or a tech genius, and you do not need to own a fancy computer. (A phone’ll do the trick as well!)
We’ll cover simple uses like writing letters, planning, learning new things, asking questions, helping with business ideas, and understanding confusing information.
We’ll also talk about the bad side: fake pictures, fake messages, scams, wrong answers, and people pretending AI is magic when it is not.
This is a beginner class for regular folks.

This one matters.
Scammers are getting slick, and they love targeting folks by text, email, Facebook, phone calls, fake bank alerts, fake package notices, and “your computer has a virus” popups.
We’ll show you what common scams look like and what to do when something feels wrong.
You’ll learn:
How to spot fake messages
What not to click
How scammers pretend to be banks, stores, police, family, or tech support
What to do if your Facebook gets hacked
How to check before you send money
How to protect your accounts
When to call somebody before trusting a message
If you have a suspicious text, email, or popup, bring it in. We’ll look at it with you.
